Paul Taylor (going under the monicker Paul Hilts in earlier Shivilenco appearances) has been an actor for almost two decades. Stints at the Liverpool Theatre School and Sandown Drama College led him into a variety of theatre roles in and around the North West during the early 1990s. Paul worked with several theatre groups, including the Street Lamp and Odd Sod companies, on projects i ncluding the hard-hitting Extremities - so hard-hitting, in fact, that he suffered a perferated ear drum during one violent scene, fortunately on the final night of the show's run.
Minor television roles began to come Paul's way as the decade progressed, in the likes of Coronation Street and Hollyoaks. However, in 2000, Paul took up a day job to help him through leaner times. This could have been an acting setback, but it was here that he met Colin Hives. The pair's shared interest in films helped forge a friendship and it was not long before they were making movies together. Paul has been a Shivilenco stalwart ever since, appearing and often starring in every production for over five years. His repetoire ranges from comedic to darkly menancing, having been called upon to portray a plethora of weird and wonderful parts by Colin's ever fertile imagination. Paul also continues to secure other work, including a brief return to Coronation Street, the Channel Five-backed Devil Inside, Angel Outside for Hurricane Films and a late night outing in Holloyoaks In The City where he bared all (save for a flesh-coloured codpiece) in front of Gemma Atkinson! |
