Jane Darcy was a graduate of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and already had several theatre and small film roles under her belt when she agreed to enter the hitherto male-dominated world of Shivilenco.
It was unanimously agreed back in 2003 that Shivilenco "needed a woman", if we were going to generate more well-rounded stories. Jane was the perfect choice - a fantastic actress in her own right, she also caused everybody who worked with her to raise their game.
Jane had an interesting introduction to Shivilenco when a car pulled up one night in a dimly lit street, containing three men, only one of whom - Colin - had she briefly met before. She hopped inside and was whisked away to Shivilenco HQ as her boyfriend nervously waved her off from the pavement. Sensibly, she brought her own bottled water!
Sadly, Jane turned her back on the acting world in 2006 and, despite several pleas, will not be returning to Shivilenco any time soon. She now works as a teacher, although a girl with so many authentic accents at her disposal should be doing, not teaching!
Finest Shivilenco performance - Final Act
Most memorable Shivilenco line - "It doesn't even make the alphabet," (a devastating critique of the status of her boyfriend's new film in Final Act.) |
